In detail, the bus stops of terminal 1 lie on its first floor. Similarly, the T2 bus stops are located on the terminal’s first level. On the other hand, the bus stops at international terminal 3 can be found on its third floor, while buses drop off passengers at the T3’s second level. The Keikyu Limousine Bus at Haneda Airport

The Keikyu Limousine Bus is one of the most popular Haneda airport bus lines. The bus has routes to several destinations, linking Tokyo Airport to Tokyo, its surrounding areas, and other locations. In fact, it links HND Airport to numerous central locations, hotels, and attractions in Tokyo. However, it makes fewer stops than the other popular Haneda airport bus, the Limousine Bus by Airport Transport Service.

All coaches are air-conditioned and comfortable, have a luggage area, and provide passengers with free Wi-Fi. In general terms, reservations for the Keikyu Tokyo Airport Limousine Bus can’t be made. That being said, in-advance bookings are available on some of the provided routes. It’s important to keep in mind that if the bus is full, you’ll have to wait for the next route. Indeed, passengers aren’t allowed to travel standing.

Tickets are available through the automatic ticket vendors that can be found on the T1’s and T2’s first level, on the T3’s second floors, and in front of the T3’s bus stops 2 and 5. Alternatively, you can buy your bus ticket onboard through the fare boxes. Nevertheless, only cash payments are accepted, and you can’t pay with large bills to ensure there will be enough change. IC Cards (Pasmo Card, Suica Card, Welcome Suica Card) can also be used in some routes. They are rechargeable cards that offer small discounts and are valid for rides with Tokyo public transit and in some convenience stores and vending machines. HND passengers typically opt for a Welcome Suica Card that doesn’t require a deposit fare and can be used within 28 days from the day of purchase. Children aged 6 to 11 pay half the fare, while two infants per paying adult travel for free. However, if they are seated on a seat, they’ll be charged the child fee. Infants younger than 1 travel for free. Moreover, early morning or late night rides on the Keikyu Haneda Airport Limousine Bus come with doubled fares.

So, are you planning to use the Keikyu Bus Lines to reach your destination? Just to give you an idea, the Keikyu Bus from HND Airport to Tokyo Station runs from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm every 1.5-2 hours and takes around 55 minutes (from T3) to reach the station. The ticket for the bus ride to Tokyo Station costs ¥1200 ($7,66/€7,37). Tickets are available through the airport ticket machines, onboard, and online. IC Cards can also be used on that route.

Our Tip: The Keikyu Bus offers a night route, departing from the Haneda airport international terminal 3 to Yokohama Station and Sakuragicho Station at 01:20 am.

    The Haneda Airport Limousine Bus

Tokyo Airport Limousine Bus, operated by Airport Transport Service, is another bus option providing various connections from Tokyo International Airport. Explicitly, buses are white with orange stripes and travel to Tokyo, its suburbs, and adjacent prefectures. They are widely favored by tourists, as they stop at all the major Tokyo hotels and the main city’s transit hubs. Although they are known as “Haneda Airport Limousine Bus”, they are, in fact, ordinary (yet comfortable and fully equipped) coaches that offer free Wi-Fi and have dedicated luggage compartments. That being said, passengers can carry up to 2 pieces of baggage free of charge. Moreover, they feature GPS systems. Thus, passengers can stay informed about the exact arrival time of their bus.

Previous reservations for the Tokyo Airport Limousine Bus are generally accepted. Tickets are available through the airport’s ticket counters and automatic machines. Payments can be made in cash and via bank cards. Travelers can also buy their tickets onboard in cash or use their IC Cards (Pasmo, Suica Cards, etc.). Please note that the rechargeable IC Tokyo Cards aren’t valid on some Airport Limousine Bus routes. What’s more, credit card payments can’t be used to buy discounted tickets. On the other hand, if you purchase a coupon for the Haneda Airport Limousine Bus from a travel agency or buy special tickets, you must reach the HND airport ticket counters to receive a boarding ticket before heading to the bus stop. Children between 6 and 12 pay half the price, while younger kids travel for free as long as they don’t occupy seats.

In general terms, buses operate at HND airport terminals 1 and 2 from 08:00 am to 11:00 pm and run from 05:00 am to 08:00 pm from terminal 3. Late-night and early-morning routes are also available. Thus, you’ll find four buses running from terminal 3 to Ikebukuro and Shinjuku (from 00:20 am to 02:20 am) and one bus route available from terminals 1 and 2 (at 00:05 am).

Are you wondering about the Tokyo Airport Limousine Bus fares? The approximately 45-minute bus ride from HND Airport to Tokyo Station costs ¥1200 ($7,66/€7,37).

The Free Bus from Tokyo Airport

If you are looking for the most affordable way to reach Tokyo, you should definitely consider catching the free Haneda shuttle bus. The shuttle bus – completely free of charge- connects the Haneda Airport Garden, the shopping mall linked to International Terminal 3 via its second level, with the Ariake Garden Shopping Mall in East Tokyo, near Odaiba and Toyosu. That being said, the shuttle bus is operated by the company managing both shopping malls, so it doesn’t serve other destinations. Therefore, if your destination isn’t near Ariake Garden, this shuttle isn’t a suitable transit option for you. In any case, it features washrooms, luggage storage compartments, and USB ports and offers free Wi-Fi. Conveniently, passengers aren’t required to use the shopping malls’ facilities (restaurants, spas, hotels, or stores) to ride the free shuttle bus. Hence, you won’t need to display a receipt or ticket. Simply reach the bus stop and board the bus. Shuttles run from 09:30 am to 09:30 pm every two hours and take around 40 minutes to travel between the two malls.

Our Tip: Reservations for the free airport shuttle can’t be made. Thus, journeys are subject to availability.
